Adelaide Early Learning is a place where children feel genuinely safe, supported and encouraged to be themselves — and where families feel they belong.
Adelaide Early Learning was founded on a simple belief: that the best early learning happens when families, educators and community genuinely know each other.
We are a family-owned early learning centre, grounded in the values of Community, Care and Connection. In a sector increasingly shaped by large corporate operators, we are proudly independent — and that independence means something. It means the people who lead this centre are deeply invested in its culture, its people and its community. It means decisions are made with children and families at the centre, not at arm’s length.
We are proud to be part of Athelstone, and we invest in the neighbourhood around us — because we believe early learning works best when it is rooted in the community it serves.
To create a warm, inclusive community where every child feels safe, valued and inspired to learn — and where every family feels genuinely supported.
We envision early learning that goes beyond the centre walls: connected to local schools, local families, and the wider Athelstone community, with relationships that last well beyond a child’s first years.
To provide high-quality early learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity and confidence — through care, genuine community partnerships and professional excellence.
We empower children to explore, imagine and thrive, laying strong foundations for their future and supporting families at every stage of the journey.
We’re not just located in Athelstone — we’re part of it. Adelaide Early Learning was built on the belief that children thrive when their early learning centre is genuinely connected to the community around them.
The team at Adelaide Early Learning are reflective practitioners — curious, committed and always looking for ways to deepen their practice.
This year, members of our team spent time in local junior classrooms, observing how children’s social and emotional wellbeing is supported in the school environment. They brought those learnings back to Adelaide Early Learning, introduced our Brain Break Wall, and began supporting children’s growing ability to self-regulate, recognise their emotions and build independence in the midst of a busy day.
It’s one example of how we approach our work: not as a fixed programme to deliver, but as a living, learning practice — always informed by children, families and the community around us.
Qualified, passionate educators who build genuine, lasting relationships with every child in their care.
A child-led, play-based approach that sparks curiosity, creativity and a love of learning from the earliest age.
Genuine investment in the Athelstone community — building connections that extend well beyond our walls.
Purpose-built, secure spaces where children can explore, learn and grow with confidence.
We welcome children aged 6 weeks to 6 years across our Nursery, Toddler, 3-Year-Old Kinder and 4-Year-Old Kinder programs.
We are open Monday to Friday, 7.00 am – 6:00 pm
Yes. All meals are freshly prepared onsite by a qualified chef, with menus carefully designed to support children’s growth and development.
We follow a play-based, child-led approach guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). In practice, this means children are active participants in their own learning — supported by educators who know them well and create experiences that are meaningful, engaging and developmentally appropriate.
The best first step is to book a tour. Come and see our spaces, meet our team and ask every question you have — then we’ll walk you through the enrolment process from there.
Our daily fees vary depending on your child’s age and the days attended. We encourage families to book a tour so our team can explain fees, inclusions and Child Care Subsidy (CCS) in detail. You can also estimate your CCS entitlement using the calculator at StartingBlocks.gov.au.
